SU52 The Power of DNA: Tracing Your Enslaved Kentucky Ancestors

This session will focus on using genetic genealogy to solve brick walls for individuals with enslaved ancestors born in Kentucky.
She will present a series of case studies throughout the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky including Louisville, Lexington, and Henderson.
Michelle Taylor is an archaeologist and genealogist based in Washington, D.C. She integrates innovative methods into her archaeological, historical, and genealogical research which focuses on African American genealogy.
