As the NGS 2017 Family History Conference approaches, you are likely planning what to pack and finalizing your travel plans. Is driving to the conference part of your plans? Are you wondering where to park once you get to Raleigh?
You will be pleasantly surprised! There is plenty of parking around the convention center. Let’s talk about where that parking is.
Before you arrive in Raleigh, take a look at the Raleigh Convention Center’s website for driving directions to the convention center. Next, take a look at Raleigh’s interactive parking map. Parking decks are shaded in green with a white “P.” You will notice plenty of options.
Two great options for conference attendees driving in for the day:
The Convention Center Underground Parking Deck
Located on Lenoir Street, there is plenty of parking in this underground lot. In the event of rain, you will stay nice and dry, too! Event parking is $7 for the day. (If you choose to stay parked overnight, the rate rolls over to $12/day.)
Tip: Make a note of the color and the number of the level where you park.
The Performing Arts Parking Deck – 128 W. South Street
Located next to the Raleigh Convention Center, this parking deck is handy, too. Event parking is $7 for the day, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Are you staying at one of the Conference Hotels?
For conference attendees staying at the Marriott, driving directions can be found on the Marriott website. Valet parking is $30/day and self-parking is $18/day.
For conference attendees staying at the Sheraton, driving directions can be found on the Sheraton website. Valet parking is $28/day and self-parking is $18/day.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
