ProQuest Librarians’ Day Workshop

February 9th, 2019 by National Genealogical Society Blog Editor

ProQuest will again sponsor Librarian’s Day, an annual pre-conference program open to librarians who work with family history patrons. Registration is required. The full day program will be held at the Convention Center. Attend and learn more about the resources, outreach, and services offered by other libraries and archives that may benefit you and your customers. This is also an opportunity to network with other librarians.

Speakers for this years’ event are:
John Dougan: State Archives Records: Your Primary Source for Genealogical Research.
David E Rencher, AG, CG, FIGR5, FUGA: FamilySearch is Free and More than Just Records
Ari Wilkins: Destination Public Library
Michael Hall, AG: “Utah Mike” and the Researchers of the “Tomes of NARA”

If you are a librarian serving family history patrons, you do not want to miss this informative and educational day. More information on specific lectures can be found in the Conference brochure. ProQuest provides lunch for librarians who pre-register for this free event. Registration is limited and closes on 19 April 2019. The Program begins at 9:00 am in the Convention Center.

NGS gratefully acknowledges ProQuest for their continuing sponsorship of this event. Note that NGS conference registration is not required to attend Librarians’ Day.
