Registration Now Open

Registration for the National Genealogical Society’s 2026 Family History Conference “America at 250” is now open. The conference is available as an in-person or virtual experience this year. Pre-conference activities, including some workshops, start as early as Tuesday, 26 May 2025. Additional workshops, events for genealogy organizations, tours, and the Expo Hall Opening are on Wednesday, 27 May.

The main conference runs for three days from 28-30 May 2026.

  • The James Dent Walker Memorial Lecture Series
  • The Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) Skillbuilding Track
  • The APG Day in the Life of a Professional Genealogist Track (NEW THIS YEAR)
  • An evening at Lindenwood Cemetery
  • NGS Trivia Night at Electric Works, and
  • Luncheons hosted by the Allen County Public Library, BCG, and NGS.

New this year, we also added a special Topic Tables Luncheon where you can select the topic of your choice and dine with other attendees interested in the same subject. There is no speaker or program, just a chance to meet other attendees with similar interests!

Tours

Tours of the Allen County Public Library are held throughout the conference. Additional pre-conference bus tours to Shipshewana or the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum are available, as is a walking tour of Fort Wayne focused on arts and architecture.
