The Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) serves Northeast Indiana with four airline carriers, and offers approximately 20 outbound flights per day, reaching 13 non-stop destinations (including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Philadelphia and others) daily, and reaching over 350 destinations with just one stop.
Their convenience and hospitality add to every flight to and from FWA, and every incoming flight is greeted with a cookie – part of why USA Today named them the “friendliest airport in the US!”
FWA is located on the Southwest side of Fort Wayne; just nine miles from downtown with convenient shuttles from a number of hotels nearby to make your stay even easier. Fort Wayne features several taxi companies, as well as Lyft and Uber for rideshare.
Fort Wayne, Indiana’s second-largest city, is located in the heart of the Midwest. More than half of the continental United States is located within a two-day drive of Fort Wayne. Two major interstates, four U.S. highways, and seven state roads cross the country to provide easy access to I-80/90 to the north and I-75 to the east.
Parking is abundant in the city, you just might have to look for it! Free Parking is available after 5:00 pm and the max amount you’ll pay during the day is $8/day. The Visitors Center suggests parking in one of the public garages, on the street at a meter, or some of the lots.
If you need a parking map, here is a handy printable map.
If you’re staying at a downtown hotel, consult the front desk on where they recommend their guests park. All downtown hotels have a parking garage close by that you can park and pay.
Because parking is so reasonably priced in Fort Wayne, NGS has not negotiated any additional discounts.
