With one of the largest physical collections in the world, plus unrivaled access to world-class digital resources—and free, one-on-one help from professional genealogists—the Genealogy Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana is one of the best places in the country to research your family history.
In addition to its physical collection, the Genealogy Center provides free access to the top seven licensed genealogical databases, plus several databases available only to libraries. In addition, you can view hundreds of thousands of files on microfilm, and access holdings from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
The Genealogy Center is located on the second floor of the Allen County Public Library, across the street from the Grand Wayne Convention Center.

Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory
Surround yourself with nature at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, an oasis in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne! Visit the Showcase Garden with its lush seasonal displays (including a spring butterfly exhibit), wander through the Tropical Garden where orchids and palms thrive in the shadows of a cascading waterfall, or retreat to the quiet beauty of the Desert Garden.
The boutique-style Conservatory Shop and Café Flora round out the inspiring visitor experience offered at the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory.

Allen County Courthouse
A National Historic Landmark, the restored Allen County Courthouse boasts magnificent art glass, exquisite murals and intricately patterned tile floors. Enjoy one of the finest examples of Beaux Arts architecture. Group tours by appointment Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. Self-guided tour booklets available here.

The History Center
Located in the historical 1893 City Building and old city jail, discover exhibits, artifacts, and photographs which tell the stories of our local heritage, from Chief Little Turtle and General Anthony Wayne to recent innovations at the History Center. Open Mon-Sat, and first Sundays.
Admission: $7 Adults(18-64)/ $5 Seniors(65 and over) & Students (3-17)/ Children 2 & under free. Members Free
